The term Electronic Discovery (E-Discovery) was first coined as discovery in legal proceedings such as litigation, government investigations, or Freedom of Information Act requests, where the information sought is in electronic format (often referred to as electronically stored information or ESI). Then, the importance of the discovery of electronic documents started finding its ground in the enterprise world. As the amount of data (and content) grew, it started to become a ‘mission impossible’ to find what you are looking for.

Salesforce is no different. Users looking for their documents on Salesforce were frustrated to figure out which document is where since there is no folder structure on Salesforce. Enabling a folder structure on Salesforce, S-Drive took the first step in helping organize files in a folder structure. The natural second step was allowing a folder-based search which was brought to us as a key feature for our customers enabling S-Drive as a file system in Communities.

Thanks to 2.2 Release, it is now easier to find what you are looking for!
